i,m starting to collect 1.43 scale die cast model road cars, which brand are considered to be the best ?

i,m collecting classic cars from the 1950,s and 60,s. 1.43 scale .i ,ve got a few corgi vanguards already.

What you must do is specialise.
Collect , say just buses, or vans with brand names, or just cars, and always keep the boxes.
Go to swap meets, observe prices.
If your rich enough, buy brands like Spot-On, or Lleddo.
Go to boot sales, and buy chipped models, to repaint, or for spare parts.

Is the Medical Model Dying?

A major shift is occurring in the behavior and attitudes of patients and consumers of healthcare in America. The belief in the medical model of healthcare is diminishing. What evidence is there for this? A couple of trends are emerging.

First, in the last five years, there have been more visits by patients to alternative practitioners than to traditional physicians. Secondly, the shift away from pharmaceuticals and toward natural supplements is gaining momentum. Even 65% of physicians take natural supplements.

Americans are looking to alternative treatments as a solution to their healthcare problems over surgery and drugs. Many observers attribute this to the baby boomer generation coming upon Medicare age, the high utilization period for healthcare services. Over 300 baby boomers are reaching age 60 every hour in America. They complain is that the medical model only treats the symptoms, not the source of the problem. Baby boomers are people who want to get to the source of their problems. They don't take no for an answer and the want what they want when they want it.

What does this mean for physicians who practice the "medical model"? First of all, it depends on the specialty. People will always need surgery. Rehabilitation, nutrition and exercise will not solve all healthcare problems. Surgery will always be needed however; we might see reductions in the number of surgeries performed. Even surgeons should look to joining with alternative practitioners who can facilitate speedier rehabilitation and prevention of re-occurrence.

In you are in a non-surgical specialty, be aware of this shift in patient attitude. Patients expect doctors to know something about natural solutions like nutritional therapies and natural supplements.  Look to bring in alternative practitioners who are compatible with you and your approach.  In certain parts of the country, most often, west of the Mississippi, it is common to find M.D.s and Naturopaths and Chiropractors in the same practice. Times are changing, and physicians need to remain open to these shifts in patient attitudes to remain a force in their patients' lives.
