Can I use the dough blade on my Black & Decker food processor to make cookies?

Sometimes the dough blade is the recommended blade because the stainless steel blade transmits too much heat and would melt the fat too much in the cookie dough. You should have no problem using your dough blade for this. If you find the cookie dough isn't mixing up enough (due to the dough blade being shorter), then just stop the processor and wipe down the sides with a spatula. Push the dough in closer to the blade and process again. The dough blade is meant for bread dough, but in a pinch if you are willing to do some scraping with a spatula then you should be fine.
